How are the placements of BE in Mechanical Engineering from Zeal College of Engineering and Research?

Zeal College of Engineering and Research is run by the Zeal Education Society established in 1996. Its Pune branch was established in 2017, is AICTE approved and is affiliated to Savitri Bai Phule University in Pune. As it has been established ten years back, it still is unable to get good placements especially in mechanical. The current scenario of the placement is not so much attracting though one living near the location of the campus can go for admission. Mechanical placement is very low and varies from 2 lakh to 4 lakh per annum with highest being 8 lakh. This college still finding the proper execution and is working hard for maintaining tie-ups with the cooperates. I will personally prefer not to indulge in distance learning though it is a very good option for Pune residing students after 12th. Make a wise decision.

It is the college that is well known for its infrastructure, campus and faculty but not that much for its placement. It is a progressive college which is getting better and better every year in terms of every area. Only a few core mechanical companies visit the college. For other branches like computer, electrical and electronics, the placement scene is quite good. But for the mechanical branch, big names like Henkel, Bosch, Faurecia, Varroc, Siemens, etc. once visited in the starting years of the college. The highest package offered to a mechanical student in the core field was 3.8 LPA. Now, the average package offered to mechanical students is around 1.2 - 2 LPA. Computer and electronics students enjoy an average package of 4 LPA.

Hi there, Zeal College of Engineering and Research is an average engineering college and there is not much to tell about the college. However, here are the few insights. Eligibility criteria: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board and scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for reserved category) with physics, chemistry and maths as subjects. Must have a valid rank in JEE Mains/MHCET. Placement wing: Job opportunities are good, but for the mechanical engineering, the placement stat is quite pathetic. For placements, companies for CSE/IT & ECE visit the campus in good numbers with an average package of Rs. 3-4 LPA. The range of package can vary from Rs 9-10 LPA (international package) and Rs 7-8 LPA (national package) to as low as Rs 3 LPA. Companies which came for recruitment are: ACC Ltd., Adani Exports, Ador Fontech Ltd., Aftek Infosys Ltd., Arvind Mills-Mumbai, Ashok Leyland, Aquarius Engineers, Bajaj Auto Finance Ltd., Berger Paints India Ltd., Bharat Forge Ltd., Bharti Cellular Ltd. and Coromandel Fertilisers.
