How are the placements of lateral entry mechanical students at VSSUT Burla?

Excellent placements are there in VSSUT Burla along with good teaching and good environment.

<p>VSSUT Burla&rsquo;s mechanical happens to the one of the first branches when the state saw the beginning of its first ever engineering college. Professors are definitely qualified. They will make you understand the concepts well and appreciate your thought process behind any concept. Some of them actually happen to be at par with NITs. But, one thing I would like to state is the approach to practicality of those bookish concepts. Since it is a very old college, the labs are not well equipped to meet with ongoing demands of practical knowledge. Some of the labs are being renovated but still needs a lot more attention. You will get help from professors if you want to pursue any project. The professors are very supportive and loving and they do have some lovely experiences to share. This college also organises mechanical branch fests where you can take part in various events that demands your mechanical knowledge. VSSUT BURLA allows mechanical people to take part in the placement process in both CORE as well as IT industry. If you are interested for IT industry then giant IT MNCs like Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra etc. will recruit you, irrespective of your knowledge on that particular industry. The package may vary from 2.98 to 4 LPA. But if you are interested for core companies then giant industries like Vedanta, Tatasteel (though only recruiting through PPOs only now-a-days), Hyundai, Maruti , L&amp;T, Hindalco, Bhushan, Jindal(JSPL) will definitely welcome you to their placement process. The CTC may vary in a range of 4-11 LPA. Apart from this, companies like Pradan also recruits mechanical engineers. So being a mechanical person will always give you an advantage to try your field of interest, provided you are meeting with the eligibility criteria well and qualify for the written tests (that happens to be the entry to any placement process).</p>
