How are the placements of LM Thapar University? Is it better than Christ University?

Thapar University is known for its amazing placement records, especially in the Computer Science branch. Almost 80-90% of students are placed every year and of course, it is improving with time. Our super seniors in 2020 got offers from multiple companies. The highest package was 43 Lacs.

The institution is called LM Thapar School of Management, falls under Thapar University. Their MBA programme is good and offers many specializations. Their second phase of MBA is still on. I beg to differ here. LM Thapar School of Management has better placements. I was going through their Facebook page and saw several students being placed at top notch companies like KPMG, Crimsonwing, Nestle, Kellogg's to name a few in the current batch.

Christ University - Bangalore is better than LM Thapar University in terms of placements and brand name. It is an established B-school.

Yes, it is similar, but main campus will be much better.

For Thapar:

  • CSE/COE is honestly tough at that percentile.

  • ENC/ECE maybe borderline.

  • Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical — you’ve got a decent shot.

  • If you have Punjab quota, your chances improve a lot.
