     The cutoffs are determined in any college on the basis of various factors as mentioned below: 1) The total number of candidates appearing in the college entrance exam 2) the difficulty level of the exam 3) The number of candidates that have successfully qualified the entrance exam of that college 4) the no. of seats offered by the participating universities and their affiliated colleges 5) previous year cutoffs of that college
