  • Both B.Tech & BCA will have the exactly same subjects from B.Tech 2nd year to 4th is almost equal to 3 year BCA, you can say BCA is like B.Tech later entry, same subjects, same difficulties, but most of the students don't actually know this. Because of BCA tag they lack behind to B.Tech. But both learn same things.
Same programming languages, same scripting, same subjects like software engineering, data structures, computer networking all subjects are common. Just for saving for year don't be left with regrets!
Yes if you're extremely talented both will be equal for you. I'm just prone to safer sides. :)
    Good luck.

In the current technical scenario of companies, BCA is too demanding. At the placement time, BCA+MCA is treated as equal to the B.Tech aspirant. Placement percent is equal to both courses, but salary is low for BCA as compared to B.Tech.

Practically speaking no BCA+MCA =B.Tech (for max case)
but if you compare Placement of an avg. College ( B.Tech) and good rank college BCA then it may have same placement
but for same College B.Tech student will be preferred.
