Extra subject will be taught in every semester and priority will be given to the hons student in various sections in
Compare with CSE branch.

As per my understanding based on the recent market trends, B.Tech. CSE (Hons.) students will definitely get more priority at the time of placement by prospective employers. It's because B.Tech. CSE (Hons.) is more upgraded & Technology oriented course which is designed by Industry experts according to recent market trend.
Being Alumni I must say, LPU always designed the pedagogy of the courses based on Industry standard only. Based on same students are getting Industry ready from Day 1.
This year LPU has reframed their B.Tech. CSE (Hons.) program, LPU is offering specialization on,
1.Data Science and Engineering
2.Cyber Security and Blockchain
3.Full Stack Software Development
Out of which, 14-16 courses to be delivered by Industry Experts. Mode: Blended (Live online and/or offline)
** 4 courses of the program will be taught by Foreign Faculties (Online).
** LPU is offering some of the most industry-recognized certifications in the market today which can validate students skills and experience to boost up their career and establish professional credibility worldwide.
** Students after clearing the certification may get the paid work opportunity with the school as Teaching Assistant for the courses.
** Every year one guided project with full support and assistance from industrial mentors and inhouse professional trainers will be executed by the students. Industry mentors will be allocated for project guidance for better learning opportunities
Let me just mention some of the worthwhile features of School of Computer Science & Engineering of LPU,

3. Online access to research journals, leading company annual reports and business dissertations with design analysis for ERP.
4. Design and Development of software and databases for data analysis.
5. Option to opt for industry relevant and industry delivered skills to enhance placement prospects.
6. Student driven activities for leadership and technological development
7. Software exhibitions on applications and research projects.
8. Back up and support by top companies for academics and curriculum like Microsoft, IBM, Cognizant etc.

Dear Devanshu, Both the programmes B.Tech in CSE and B.Tech in CSE (Hons. ). Are good at LPU. I have one friend who has completed his B.Tech in CSE (Hons. ). Programme at LPU last year and got placed in an MNC named Amazon as a Software Developer. Being alumni of LPU, I will give you an overview of the honours programme at LPU.
1. Every semester you will study one more subject which will add your knowledge about the programme.
2. You will have access to Library books for more days than normal students.
