How beneficial is DBA course after B.Tech?

A database management system is a computer software application that interacts with the user, other applications, and the database itself to capture and analyze data. A general-purpose DBMS is designed to allow the definition, creation, querying, update and administration of databases. DBMS can be used to manage transactional databases such as HR systems, banking systems and so on. (b)Database administrators (DBAs) use specialized software to store and organize data. The role may include capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery. Even if you do DBA certification from Oracle, Microsoft or Informix or IBM DB2, etc. after B.Tech, it may be difficult to get freshers job as most of the large enterprises MA not allow freshers to touch their business critical databases. It is suggested that B.Tech graduates should do few years of programming before seeking DBA certifications for long term career growth and acceptance.

Hello, B.Tech introduces a student through various dimensions of the field of engineering pursued. Unfortunately, the question does not mention the specialization of B.Tech pursued. So, it will be difficult to analyze the relevancy of the DBA course to the engineering stream. Assuming that engineering has been pursued in the field of computers, then if a student is interested to build a career as a database administrator or database developer or database manager, then DBA course could be quite helpful. DBA course are of 2 types. One is provided by any computer training institute. In this course, the syllabus is designed as per the expertise of the faculty in the institute. The course duration and fees varies from one institute to another. The certificate of this course is issued by the institute. The second course is provided by Oracle and is much better as the syllabus, course duration, fees, examination pattern, question paper is all designed by Oracle. This ensures a much higher level of quality. On completion, the certificate is issued by Oracle. I hope this answers your question.
