How can an MBA student take good packages?

MBA students in good universities do a lot to increase their skills and sensibilities to improve upon their employability. It works both ways, the university must provide the facilities and students must make full use of them. One major thing which a university can do is to provide a ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship so that the students even while going into jobs understand the responsibilities and profitability of the organizations. Some universities like LPU do this naturally, being large community itself, it has huge entrepreneurship possibilities along with the innovation labs, design thinking labs topped with business incubator and SEED funding too. This expands the horizons of the students who go on to become entrepreneurs and also the students who opt for corporate jobs. Some technologies also need to be learnt at college itself like SAP tools Advance excel, SEO, workday, GitHub, digital techniques etc. , these skills not only improve the chances in interviews but also help you in career throughout life. Soft skills and right sensibilities, these can be developed within your course if the college provides a prolonged exposure to learning professional etiquette, public speaking, personality grooming, mannerisms, cross cultural team work, interpersonal skills, professional ethics etc. Mind you, these all are required these days apart from the regular curriculum of management programme. There are very few institutions which have understood the needs like these for improving employability of their students. Some good examples are Iims, FMS Delhi, UBS Chandigarh, SIBM, ISB, Greatlakes and LPU Punjab etc. So make a right informed choice. All the best. DVD.

Actually, Salary package depends on factors like specialisation, Institute, Company offering job, students academic performance, work experience etc. The placements are tremendous and you'll get plenty of opportunities to choose from but it is your duty to maintain a capable academic record so that you can fetch a job in the best company that visits the university for recruitment. The placement in MBA at LPU is about 95% and above. Almost all batches were placed in well-known companies. Average package offered for MBA students is 5.5 LPA. Some of the leading companies (like Practo, Think and Learn, Colgate, ICICI Prudential, Tech Mahindra, Axis bank, WNS, CISCO etc. ). recruited a good number of students from our department with the maximum package of 17 Lacs. Every year, Around 550+ companies visit for such activities and campus-recruitment of students from LPU. And this year for batch graduating in 2019, already more than 650 placement/internship drives have been conducted till February 2019 with leading industry giants (more than 90% being MNCs). Companies like Colgate Palmolive, Hindustan Unilever, Godrej Consumer, SAP Labs, Asian Paints, Bajaj Allianz, Federal Bank, Moodys Analytics, Blue Star, Zomato, Berger Paints, Marico, Havells, Apollo Munich Health Insurance, CavinCare, Hetitch, Nerolac Paints, Oyo Rooms, S& P Global Market Intelligence, HDFC Bank, Swiggy, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Luminous Power, Bharti AXA, Decathlon Sports, Exide Industries, Emami, Eye-Q Vision, ITC Limited, Janalakshmai Financial Services, Kelloggs, MRF, Naukri, Moodys Analytics, WNS Global, Writer Corporation, Nivesh Group, OCWEN Financial, Practo, Redington, Transport Corporation of India, etc. vist the LPU camous for recuitment.The industrial exposure is also offered on the campus.
