As a software engineer, it is expected that you would teach at engineering colleges. At the B.Tech level, you have fields like computer science and information technology that are best suited for you. First thing is that you need to pursue Masters, ideally, Masters in technology or M.Tech as almost all private or public engineering colleges require atleast a Master's. Also, you need to pick your subject of specialisation. Once you have pursued and successfully completed your Masters, you may apply for teaching job as assistant professor at several engineering colleges. You are best equipped for subjects like computer Science and information technology at the B.Tech level. The first step is to seek a master's degree, ideally a master's in technology (M.Tech), as practically all private or public engineering institutes demand at least a master's degree. You also need to decide on your area of expertise. After pursuing and earning your master's degree, you can apply for associate professor positions at several engineering universities. In order to instruct at prestigious engineering schools like IIT, NIT, BITS, etc.

If you have post-graduation qualification then you can apply for the National Eligibility Test which is conducted to recruit candidates for the lectureship or professorship in the top most colleges or institutes of India.
As you are experienced in software engineering you can check any vacancy in the selected colleges which fill the vacant seat in the institute based on the experience or knowledge.
If teaching is your passion then I will suggest you to go for the post-graduation and then apply for the UGC NET or CSIR NET exam. visit: https://www.eduncle.com/cbse-ugc-net-exam click here.
