<p>Applying for MBBS at the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (IPGMER) involves the following steps.<br><br>1. Eligibility :-<br>Candidates hailing from the general category should have completed their 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or the necessary percentage in case of reserved categories. Candidates should be qualified and appeared in the NEET-UG exam (the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduates).<br>2. Apply for NEET-UG :- Register yourself and appear for the NEET-UG exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). You are expected to qualify for NEET with a rank meeting the cutoff for IPGMER. The application for NEET-UG can be made online on the official NTA NEET website. <br>3. Counseling :- Immediately after the declaration of the NEET-UG result, you would have to undergo the counseling process. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) conducts the counseling for state quota seats. On the other hand, the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) does the same for All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Therefore, you have to register for the counseling on the specific counseling portals as per WBJEEB for state seats or MCC for AIQ. <br>4. Document Verification: You will need to verify the attached documents for its verification during the counseling. The documents to be included are your NEET-UG scorecard, 12th-grade marksheets, category certificate, etc.<br>5. Seat Allotment: You would be allotted a seat in the counseling process, confirm your seat through the admission procedure. Pay the mandatory admission fee and have yourself registered.<br>6. Final Admission: After verification of your documents and a fee payment, you will be officially admitted to the MBBS programme at IPGMER.</p>
