How can I be an astronaut? How much does an astronaut earn?

After high school, students must study undergraduate and graduate Aeronautical Engineering courses, Astrophysics courses, or any other courses that are pertinent to the field in order to become astronauts. Other excellent programmes include B.Tech in Space Technology, B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering, M.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering, etc. Following that, you would need to enrol in research programmes like a Ph.D. in aviation, astronomy, or aerospace or aeronautical engineering.

Hi Siya, In order to become an Astronaut after 12th, students must pursue both undergraduate and postgraduate Aeronautical Engineering Courses or Astrophysics Courses or any other courses that are related and relevant to the field. Some of the other top courses that can be pursued to become an Astronaut are B.Tech Space Technology, B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering, M.Tech Aeronautical Engineering etc. After that you would have to pursue research courses like Ph.D. in Aeronautics, Astrophysics, Aviation, Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering. Apart from all this you must other qualities like: You need to be physically fit, mentally strong and should have great stamina; there are examinations. You should qualify the criterion of height, a particular level of height is required for people to become an astronaut. You should possess great mathematical skills, and I am not talking about addition, multiplication etc. You should have good communication skills, you must be good at English because there are very high chances that people you will be working with will not even be from your own country. You should have a good academic career and team spirit because all the space missions are done in teams, and you should be able to work under high pressure and in cramped environment. Now let's talk about how to join for astronauts So when ISRO opens its astronaut programme to common people, a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university either in engineering, Physics mathematics, computer Science, Chemistry or Biology would be the basic requirement.
