Law degrees in India are offered as three-year or five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. Programs. Clear the Judicial Service Exam: The next step is to clear the Judicial Service Exam conducted by the State Public Service Commission. The eligibility criteria for this exam vary from state to state, but generally, candidates must be Indian citizens, have a law degree, and be between the ages of 21 and 35 years. The exam consists of two parts, a preliminary and a main exam, followed by an interview. Training: After clearing the Judicial Service Exam, candidates undergo a training programme for one to two years at the Judicial Academy. The training includes classroom lectures, mock trials, and internships under the guidance of experienced judges. Appointment: After completing the training programme, candidates are appointed Civil Judges (Junior Division) or Magistrates. After serving for a few years, they can be promoted to the position of Civil Judge (Senior Division), and later, they can become District Judges, who preside over larger courts. Hello Prakhar, To become a Civil Judge you need to write the Civil Judge(Entry Level) Examination and for this exam there are parameters which you need to satisfy in order to apply. ELIGIBILITY NEEDED: -The candidate must have a Citizenship in India as per the Nationality standard. -The age limit needed for the exam is that the candidate must have 21-35 years of age . -Education qualification needed for the exam is that the candidate must have completed a -Degree in Law from a recognized university with a fair percentage. The candidate is selected through 2 stages: - Preliminary Exam - Main Exam Good Luck!
