    If you are a high school student or high school graduate, your first step toward becoming a counselor will be to pursue an associate or Bachelor's degree. A psychology degree or human services degree make excellent options, however, it is not required that you earn your undergraduate degree in one of these fields. Steps to become a Counselor in India are -
    Step 1: Opt for any Stream with Psychology in Class 12th
    Step 2: Pursue B.A/B.Sc in Psychology or Applied Psychology for 3 years
    Step 3: Pursue M.A/M.Sc in Counselling Psychology/Psychology/Applied Psychology for 2 years
