How can i become a Film Director?
I have done my B.tech(cse) this year.I want to become a film director.Should i do VFX course(beacuse only this course somewhat relates to my degree) to be on safer side or should do job while trying for part-time course in direction.
I don't what steps should i take at this time.
Please help me.

Further to what Dr.Goutam has stated, I wish to add that it may be wise to do a mass communication course and then specialize in film making from FTII or a good University like UCLA. A good Masters degree will certainly open you up to the semiotic world of films + a few good years in understanding I

Film direction is got to do with creativity and it has no relation with VFX. Although, it is necessary to know equipment used for shooting, editing, music etc but it can be learnt only through joining an institute like FTII, Pune or whistling Woods, Mumbai. Later, one has to assist some director or
