A film director is the main man of any film and a person who makes a film. From scripting to music to cinematography, a director is responsible to look after monitor everything. It is not a salary based job. To start a career as a film director, one should work as an assistant director.
Try to shoot documentaries, ad films, music video; you will have a fair idea of how to work as a film director.
There are many universities which offer course related to film direction. Try to enroll. It will give you an idea of idea of how technicians work.
