Step I: Qualify the Food Inspector Exam conducted by Union Service Public Service Commission. Education Essentials- Graduates in medicine with minimum one year training in food inspection Bachelors degree in any science stream with Chemistry as compulsory subject Bachelors degree in Agriculture / Public Health/ Veterinary Science/Dairy Technology/Pharmacy / Food Technology Age limit- 21 and 30 years for general candidates. Upper age limit specified for OBC candidates is 33 years and for SC/ST candidates is 35 years. Only Indian Citizens can apply for this test. *There will be questions from technical subjects, English, Numerical Ability and General Knowledge. Step II: Qualify the interview -Personal interview is there for the candidates who have qualified in the written test conducted for the recruitment of food inspector. -The primary objective of this interview is to test whether the candidates possess adequate knowledge to take up the responsibility of food inspector. -Candidates can expect technical questions which cover the areas of food technology. -They should have good idea about how the food products are processed to do well in the interview round. -As this is a personal interview, the attitude of the candidates will be also tested. *All the proper information that is required for the test can be gathered from newspapers or magazines.
