The minimum eligibility criteria to become a lecturer in India is having a complete Masters degree. If you have completed the postgraduation then the next step is to qualify the National Eligibility Test (NET) Exam. The National Testing Agency conducts the UGC NET and CSIR NET Exam to select the deserving candidates for lectureship. UGC NET is for the aspirants who pursued Masters in subjects like humanities and languages. CSIR NET for the Science stream subjects like Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, etc.
Both these exams are conducted by the National Testing Agency twice a year.

    Hi,
For becoming a lecturer or professor, you need to crack NET (National Eligibility Test) or SET (State Level Eligibility Test). Ph.D. is the main qualification you need to achieve to become a full-time lecturer.
    Thanks!
