How can I become a network security engineer?

Studying for and passing examinations like CCNA r&s, Network+, etc. , will provide you with the knowledge and credentials necessary to succeed in the field of Network Security Engineering. After that, seek for NOC (Network Operation Center) positions, which are often entry-level but may need a college degree. Learn as much as you can about the CCNP r&s or CCNA sec in the meanwhile. Even if landing a career in security isn't impossible, it's far more challenging than entry-level positions in networking, such as routing and switching. Getting a job at a network operations center (NOC) is a good first step since it will provide you insight into the business world and help you determine what it is about networking that most interests you. The CISSP is the gold standard in the business world, and it takes at least five years of experience under your belt before you can even think about studying for it.

Firstly, complete your bachelors in Computer Science or Cyber Security. Or go on to doing masters in IT security. Relevant work experience will also add great value. CEH, CCNP security, GIAC security, CISSP certifications are good to have and explore.
