A preschool teacher has the responsibility of taking care of the educational needs of children from birth to age five. A preschool teacher, as the name implies, prepares children for school. To become a preschool teacher, you have to take professional teaching training courses recognised by NTT.

To become a preschool teacher, you must:

    1. You must have 50 percent in your 12th grade to apply for a teaching Certificate course.
    2. You can enroll in a one-year nursery teacher training programme known as the Diploma in NTT.
    3. You can also get a Certificate in NTT from a recognised institution.

The one year certificate/Diploma course in nursery teacher training is the most preferred route to become a preschool teacher. Several preschools also makes ask for NTT Certificate as a mandatory requirement. A B.Ed degree is also handy.
