Hi,
In order to be eligible for Ph.D. Rural Development course study, the candidates need to complete their Master's degree or M.Phil in any stream along with a minimum 50% (relaxation available for reserved category candidates) aggregate marks from a recognised university. According to the UGC (University Grants Commission), it is not necessary to obtain Ph.D. in India for obtaining the post of assistant professor. It is mandatory only for the post of a Professor. Professors are teaching and research positions. -
To become a professor in rural development, you will have to complete a PhD in the related field. You can pursue a humanities course such as a Bachelor of arts, and after graduation, you can pursue a master's (M.A. ) in rural development. You have to appear in the UCG NET exam to be eligible to teach as an assistant professor. To become a professor, you can qualify for the NET exam for JRF and complete your PhD. After completing your PhD, you will be able to apply for college lecturer positions.
