A proofreader is a person who is responsible for for the better quality of content. He/she is responsible to check the grammar, spellings, accuracy and the flow of any content piece. To become a proofreader, you must have a good command over the language. You must be a grammar Nazi to become a proofreader. As a proofreader, you can get a job in a publishing house, media house, or you can pursue your career as a proofreader. A degree is must to become a proofreader. For example, if you are a proof reader for the Hindi language, you must have a degree of Hindi honors.

A proofreader is a person who checks the content for quality and consistency. He/she strives to maintain the accuracy of the content by monitoring the grammar, spellings, flow of the content, consistency of the typeface etc. Since proofreading is all about the language, one must possess a degree in English or Hindi as these are the 2 most used language in our country. 7 years agoProof Reading is known as the task of ‘re-reading' the contents to check for possible spelling or grammar errors. Reading the proofs and suggesting the changes what the Proofreader has to do. It is more of an editor’s job, but slightly less sophisticated and less paid as well. Editing and Proof Reading of Language Content is related to office communication and do have jobs with the government.
