    In India, School Principal profile job requires following qualifications: (a) Bachelor or post graduate degree with B.Ed or higher educational qualifications. (b) Teaching experience of five year and above. (c) School administration experience as Vice Principal or equivalent post. In Government schools, Assistant Education Officers in Central/State Government/Autonomous organisations of Central/State Government are also eligible to become School Principal. (d) In addition, some schools may have age and sex related requirement to be a School Principal.

    In India, the following credentials are necessary for the position of School Principal: (a) A Bachelor's or master's degree with a B.Ed or equivalent education. (b) Five years or more of teaching experience. (c) Vice Principal or comparable post experience in school management. Assistant Education Officers in Central/State/Autonomous Organizations of Central/State Government may also become School Principals in Government Schools. (d) Some schools may also have requirements for school principals in terms of their ages and genders.

    Hi,
    The role of a Principal is on the top of a School. The entire school, children, teacher as and other staff, all that is run by the school's principal. To reach at this designation and role, is very hard and challenging.
    Firstly, you need to earn a Bachelor's degree and become a teacher. Most of the school principals used to be in teaching. You need to have a good teaching experience.
    For a start, try and teach on as many levels as you can. Any school may ask for 10 or more years' experience.
    Make yourself demonstrated and strong to obtain leadership skills.
    Look out for the qualification for available principal of your district.

    School principals are sometimes referred to as education administrators. They are the decision makers who oversee school policies. Principals must have an advanced degree such as a Master's degree in science or education, doctor of education in educational administration. They usually need teaching experience. Principals are also required to hold a state-issued license in teaching and education administration. An internship is also necessary.

    First and foremost requirement to become a school principal is to have a passion for teaching. It's the principal who can make or break a school. He should have compassion for others and should be humble beside willing to learn at every opportunity. Other than these, he/she must have post graduation degree and should have undergone a training as a teacher. Any added qualification is, of course, a boon.
    It needs to be remembered that principal is the administrative head of the school and hence should possess the required qualities. He should have at least five years of experience as a teacher or administrative experience.
