The usual way is again study masters and Ph.d in india. Or may be if you are passionate start working on your own and get some patents . Anyone is a scientist, all you need is the passion and independence to do what you want.
You can apply for the same post in DRDO, ISRO and BARC. Notification comes almost every year in all the newspapers and in gazette.
but be cautious while choosing the institute for masters,go for the one that provides good education along with practical exposure to projects and research.

    Dear Abhijith,
To become a scientist you need to complete B.tech and M.tech level in particular domain in which you have interest and than go for PHd level for further research.
On the basis of your research and idea and development of that particular project you can lead the way to become scientist.
    All the best

Now, what does it take to be a scientist? - Knowledge, the craving for more knowledge, the attitude to love challenges, tenacity (my favourite) and a little bit of arrogance (yes, you need it sometimes to prove your point).
