How can I become a software engineer? Which course should I pursue?

Do BCA or B.Tech with CSE. These are the two best ways to become an engineer. Also, there are other courses like B.Sc. etc. in IT and computers but that will not make you an engineer. You can also pursue diploma or certification courses too.
