How can I become a solicitor?

I hav clred my llb n now i want to go for solicitor .so i want to about its scope, Fees,exams, n do we get paid articleshp if yes,den plz specify approx amt,n if 1 fails in 1st attmpt den wat is d time period for 2nd attmpt.i prefer to do it frm mumbai .plz help

    Hi Mustafa,
    Criteria for becoming a Solicitor:
    -XII (any subject)followed by BA LL.B a 5 year course in Law Selection to the best institutes is through a rigorous selection process.
    -Graduation followed by LL.B 3 year course. LL.B course is conducted by most universities and their affiliated colleges in India. The degree entitles the graduates to practice law.
    -After LLB- full time post graduation (LLM) of 2 years duration or diploma courses of 1 year duration can be pursued. There are several branches of specialization to choose from.
