How can I become a wildlife photographer? Which course should I pursue after class 12th?

Hi, According to me, you can go for mass communication and side by side join diploma in photography. Join the groups which organise the workshop and tour for nature and wildlife photography and maintain the portfolio and through that take part in online photography competition and do apply for freelance work. With the good numbers of project and experience apply for jobs in magazines or related jobs profile. All the best!

Hello Mohd Sarim, First, by pursuing a course, second, by your own efforts. On your own you can explore yourself by making a large collection of your work, making an actual visit to wild places, send your work to concerned channels or website. But, this is a long process and surety is not there. Just a matter of potential. Again there are two options in terms if you are thinking to pursue a course. Either go for a three year degree programme or choose a certificate course that lasts for months only. If degree programme than choose B.J. MCA full time 3 year degree course. This would not only help you to be a wildlife photographer but will also build up some other opportunities in distinct sectors like that of editing, anchoring, writing, direction, acting etc. So, you will have more opportunities after that. And if you are opting for certificates course or Diploma than it would be only wildlife photography centric. No other things would be taught. This course generally takes 3 to 6 months, sometime may be 12 months. If you go for this than after months you will be having options to opt another full time degree course. In this way, you will be finishing a certificate course in your choice field on the other hand you will be completing your degree programme too.
