How can I become an actor? I am thinking of pursuing a B.J. M. C. course. What is B.A. (JMC)?

Your Aim is to become an actor. But you are thinking of pursuing BJMC or BA (JMC) Please understand that Journalism and Mass Communication courses do get you into media industry but not in the role of actor. These are for different set of professions. To become an actor, the right choice would be Bachelor in Performing Arts (BPA). For example the curriculum at LPUs Bachelors in Performing Arts is aimed at three specialised professions and Acting is one of them. ACTING ADVANCED ACTING PRACTICE: This course is for the students of Theater who wish to specialize in Acting. This course enables students to act in various situations and for varied mediums. ADVANCED ACTING TRAINING: This course is for the students of Theater who wish to specialize in Acting. This course enables students to act in various situations and for varied mediums. DIRECTION ADVANCED DIRECTION PRACTICE: This course is for the students of Theater who wish to specialize in Direction. This course enables students to direct theater as well as TV production. ADVANCED DIRECTION TRAINING: This course is for the students of Theater who wish to specialize in Direction. This course enables students to direct theater as well as TV production. STAGE CRAFT ADVANCED STAGE CRAFT PRACTICE : This course is for the students of Theater who wish to specialize in Stage craft. This course enables students to understand and apply modern conventions of Stage Craft in practice. ADVANCED STAGE CRAFT TRAINING: This course is for the students of Theater who wish to specialize in Stage craft. This course enables students to understand and apply modern conventions of Stage Craft in practice. Apart from the specialised courses, the workshops for various skills are conducted by many renowned personalities, large number of mega events happen in university for media exposure, many short films are shot in university for participation in various film festivals and students get chances to showcase their talent in acting. Dear Akash, If you want to become Anchor, I would suggest you to go for B.J. M. C. Course. Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication. Lovely Professional University is one of the best universities in the country and will definitely a good choice for B.J. M. C. They offer exposure for this practical course is worth mentioning. One of my cousin has completed B.J. M. C. programme from this University. He shared his experience so I got to know about this course. The programme is designed to expose students to all dimensions of Print, Electronic and New Age Media. The main Focus is on enhancing technical skills of reporting, news design software, video editing, photography, etc. He told me School of Education, Lovely Professional University- LPU is a leading teacher education institution in northern India. The school offers courses from undergraduate to doctorate level. The courses are recognised by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and the state government. They have their own in campus media channel- Y TV, where the students work and have hands on experience of the real life media channel scenario. Apart from this there are many other events like Coke Studio, YouthVibe, etc. Taking place where the students are made part of it to give them the filed experience. Dear Akash, A degree in broadcast journalism from a renowned institute would help broadening the news vision of the aspirant. One needs to be a graduate to apply in news channels.
