How can I become an actor?

Naresh,to become an actor you may enrol in a short course in acting and rest is about practice. However, acting is a tricky line and placements is not a possiblity. you have to keep meeting directors and find your way. So adding other skills may be useful, and the skill nearest to acting is animation - which is the ability to transfer your acting knowledge to a 3d character. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in UI Design, Graphic Design, Storyboarding, Animation Design, Game Design, 3D Modelling, Texturing and Lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation (2D and 3D). Of course at the top of the pile lies Concept Designing - these people are required by Event Companies, Animation Studios, VFX Studios, and of course Game Studios. However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these. So going for a generic course covering all or most of these would be the best way to get started in these careers. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this (if you work hard you can improve your drawing skills tremendously). Hi, Naresh To be an actor is not an easy task but by working on yourself, self marketing, hard work and perseverance, you can definitely be a successful actor/actress in Bollywood, India. An actor portrays a character and communicates with the audience on behalf of the playwright, guided by a director. Actors work mainly indoors in theatres &amp; studios, and also do on location shoots for films &amp; television. Education required : 1. Graduation in any discipline 2. Diploma in acting from any renowned Drama school like NSD(National School of Drama) etc. Qulaities required : 1. Good looks may help you (especially in TV serials) though I don't agree fully with it. You can work on your looks or rather on your overall personality by facial exercises, Ayurveda treatments and yoga. 2. Good body and its maintenance. 3. Good voice. You can develop by various vocal exercises. 4. Very pleasant nature. 5. Good command on HINDI. 6. Excellent ability to memorize and that too, quickly. This is of paramount importance, especially in serials where you get your lines just before the shot! 7. Good acting abilities.
