How can I become an English lecturer?
I am doing BA in English and want to become a lecturer. What do I need to get entry in MA in English in Delhi University? Should I pursue a language course with my Masters? What path should I follow?

In Delhi University, there a two ways to get into M.A English programme, it is with entrance & without entrance. To be eligible without Entrance you need to have B.A (Hons) English with 55% marks and with entrance different stream students will require different percentages and specific re

Hi, In order to become English Lecturer you need to do BA with Eng Litt . After succesful completion yo can go for MA Eng or MA Eng Litt . If you clear these two exams with a minimum 60% then you can become an Eng lecturer. But to get the UGC scales you may have to clear the state eligibility test

For MA programme in English from DU, you need at least 55% marks in
graduation. There is an entrance test for admission too which usually includes essay writing, personality and book reviews, comprehension passage, story writing based on pictures/cues, and questions based on current affairs or gene

To become an English Lecturer the minimum requirement is of having an educational background in English both at Graduate and Masters level.
Also if you plan to teach at a University/ govt institution, it becomes important to have qualified the SET/ UGC NET exam.
