    If you want to become a professor of English, first, you will have to do MA in English with first division then you will have to crack NET or SET exam which is conducted by the central government or state government.

    Graduation- M.A. English - UGC NET/JRF Ph.D. Job in College or University followed by Experience and guidance to Research Scholarship if M.Phil and Ph.D. Long experience and then the university analyses you and gives the rank of a Professor. If you wish to know how to be a College Assistant Professor or Lecturer then follow the steps till UGC NET.
