Any graduate can become an IAS officer. For that, you need to study a lot. Not only the subjects which you were taught in graduation, but topics related to history, political science, economics, current affairs, basic science, geography, logical reasoning, etc. You need to start preparing and practice for it from the first year of your graduation. You need to appear for civil services exam conducted by UPSC and need to clear CSAT then Mains and interview. The exam is for IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, grade A and grade B i.e top level positions in central government. If you want to be an IAS officer, your overall rank should not be more than 250.
