How can I become an IAS? What is the selection process for the same?

As soon as you complete your graduation, start preparing for it. It takes a year for the preparation. First will be prelims then Mains and then personality test. Prelims will be objective type, Mains will be subjective and personality test means interview.

You have to appear for written examination conducted by UPSC. You need to choose the subjects. If you qualify the written exam then there will be an interview. As far as I know , the post(IAS) is not selective that is it would be given with respect to the marks of the candidate. Is it true?
