Hi, To become an international trade lawyer, first, you need to have a law degree from an institution recognized by the Bar Council of India. After that, you would need to register yourself to obtain a license to practice law. International trade law is one of the most interesting areas of law as it involves trans-national elements and transaction ranging from two or more countries to two or more continents. You need to have a fair idea of International Trade Law to be an ITL lawyer. You can get this through the course taught in the law school. For more insights, you can pursue a credit course or Diploma in this area of law. A Masters in this area of law would help provide you with much need insights and practical knowledge. In the five year law program, the last year generally deals with specialization. So, you can pursue courses dealing with international trade law to specialize in that area of law.
