How can I change my my course in SASTRA University from mechanical engineering to CSE?

    Yes, you can change your department from mechanical to CSE at the end of first year through sliding process provided that you must have a CGPA greater than 8.5. As CSE is most demanded department and I may not assure you surely you will get CSE as vacancies should be there at the end of the counselling or one must slide from CSE to other department to create a vacancy.
  • Yes, you can use the sliding option. But it depends on the vacancy in CSE dept. But, you should have more than 9 CGPA to improve your chances of sliding.

    Hello Modhi,
    As CSE is most demanding branch nowadays so it is tough to get CSE after one year from mechanical engineering as normally student does not want to leave CSE branch from Sastra University so it is not sure that you can get CSE in the 2nd year.
