Sarvottam,
When choosing a college see to this that it has good placements. Its faculty is well qualified and experience. Also, see to this that the institution has proper infrastructure so as to give you all the facilities required for you to complete your degree successfully.
These days we have many good govt.as well as private institutions like IITs, NITs, LPU, SRM, etc. that offer you all this.
Private universities these days are at par with the govt. ones and performing equally good. Some of them are offering good scholarships too.
Check the websites of some of them for more details. -
A good engineering college is the one which is approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education ) and UGC (University Grants Commission). These rankings determine the good universities in only in India.
If a college is approved by the above two then it is a good college to study.
There are some internationally standardized institutions such as VIT, BITS, etc., they are approved by QS which is an international ranking. If a college has QS ranking, then it is internationally recognized. They are the best options for engineering.
