CAT and MAT have somewhat similar syllabus, so for both exams you can refer similar books and online materials are also available for the same and online mock tests also help in the preparation of CAT effectively.

CAT/MAT are not just qualifying exams. You need to score well in percentile to get admission in a good B-school. Top B-schools have their cutoffs more lying more than 90 percentile. So try to score well to get into a good B-school for MBA studies.

Hello! There is nothing like clear or fail marks in any entrance exams like CAT, MAT, etc. One has to clear the cutoffs of the particular B-schools (where one wishes to apply and take admission). And yes, it is compulsory without which one cannot get shortlisted for the interview rounds (if any).
