How can I compensate for my bad past academic performance record to get admission to the top IIMs like IIM Lucknow?

Graduate in Manufacturing Engineering from Bits Pilani with 2 year backs. 5.9GPA. I got 9.4 GPA in X Science stream CBSE . and 88% in XII Science stream CBSE. Do note that I also dropped an year after my XII to prepare for entrance exams. What good options do I have ? I am not worried about CAT.
