First and foremost, get your basics clear.
Learn tables at least upto 30. learn squares, cubes, cube roots, square roots. it will save your lot of time.
Learn techniques for fast addition, multiplication, division and subtraction.
Practice maximum.
Make mnemonics of as many concepts as you can.
