    Preparation can be of three types: Self-study, Self-study plus coaching and Coaching.
    It depends whether you are a working professional or a student. So, if you are a working professional, you have to prepare either by self-study with the help of correspondence booklets, you have an option of taking weekend coaching classes or you can buy some famous books used for the preparation of MBA entrance exams.     The important things which you should look into while preparing for this exam are as follows:
    1. Select one of the best coaching centers which offer quality education- TIME is one of the famous coaching centers for CAT and MAT.
    2. Dedication- Be focused on the aim which you need to achieve.
    3. Try to read Hindu newspaper editorial. Most of the passages which appear in MAT are from Hindu editorial.
    4. Try to do a maximum number of online mock tests. You will definitely clear MAT by doing the above.
    5. Try to read as much as you can and make note of points.

    Make your plan according to the time, you can give for the preparation on a daily basis.
    Work on your plan and identify your weakness and strength.
    Try to plan and identify above-stated things within a week. Set your plan agile and keep buffer time for revision and solving mock test papers.
    Start with your verbal and quantitative practice in parallel.
    Keep positive! Solve questions in a specified time frame this will help you in doing questions in time. Maintain a good balance between your accuracy and solving time.
    Be focused and calm. For the last month keep all the formulas and tricks handy and revise on a daily basis.

    MAT is a standardized test being administered by AIMA to facilitate B-Schools to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programs. You need to have a strategic MBA preparation to crack MAT exam.
    MAT Exam Pattern
    MAT is a two and a half hours objective type choice test with the following format:-
    There are 200 questions in all with four choices per question
    0.25 marks per question are deducted for a wrong response; while 1 mark is awarded for a correct response.
