Here are few tips to crack the examination provided limited numbers of days/months: Set your plan agile and keep buffer time for revision and solving mock test papers. Start with your verbal and quantitative practice in parallel. One year can make or change the game, time management is very important at every single point of time till the final day. Keep positive! Maintain a good balance between your accuracy and solving time. Be focused and calm. For the last month keep all the formulas and tricks handy and revise on a daily basis. Remember not to be emotional while solving or appearing for exam. Manage your time wisely. Hello, Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) is a state level entrance exam is conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), Karnataka. It is not a very tough exam but it is necessary to get a good score so as to secure a seat in a top college. As you have a lot of time, a year, it is definitely easy to crack the exam. The syllabus is as follows: 1) English proficiency 2) Logical and verbal reasoning 3) Quantitative aptitude 4) General Knowledge A) To improve the proficiency in English, you may refer to the good grammar books like Wren and Martin which may help you to understand the writing language better. You can also read many newspapers, articles, magazines, etc. so that it would help you to enhance your reading and writing skills. B) To prepare for logical and verbal reasoning, the previous year papers as well as model papers would be ideal. Choose the questions of PGCET standards and solve as many questions as possible so that you may get many ideas to solve and also the difference models of questions. C) For quantitative aptitude, you may refer: R. S. Agarwal book and other such books which would help you a lot. You need to solve many problems to improve the speed and accuracy in calculation. D) In general knowledge, questions may be asked from the current events, sports, achievements, etc. For this, there is no separate preparation but one can refer the previous year questions which may help you with this part. E) Give at least 2-3 days for revision of what you have read, during the last days of preparation so as to improve your answering efficiency.
