    Hi,
Planning is very important to crack XAT in 6 months. So, my suggestions are:
XAT is easy as compared to CAT. I was also a student who prepared for XAT immediately after my graduation. The important things which you should look into while preparing for this exam are as follows:
    1. Select one of the best coaching centres which offer quality education. TIME is one of the famous coaching centres for XAT and MAT.
    2. Dedication-Be focused on the aim which you need to achieve.

XAT has 5 different sections and preparing them all together can be a bit hectic. Therefore, plan consecutive sectional preparation.
    PLAN:

Read editorials from newspaper like The Hindu, The Economist and many more every day till the exam for about 30 minutes. Apps like inshorts will keep you updated. You can also check out them while travelling or during relaxing breaks in between your work or study breaks. You can also prepare for general knowledge in extra time for a while going to bed.
    4-6 months.
Start taking a mock test or previous year question papers and analyse your preparation level and your mistakes made or your weaknes

Also, you cannot totally forget quant and data interpretation. For that, you can refer book by Arun Sharma. As we all know that practice makes the man perfect, so start solving sample papers daily to test yourself, where you are lacking. Most important is to not just start solving questions, create an

XAT is different of all the examinations conducted for an MBA entrance process by the way of its structure and level of toughness. The paper might give a candidate surprises by asking strange and tough questions.
Also, one unique thing about the test and the college (XL) is the transparency in the results. They provide you not only with the answers but also the solutions in detail post examination. No other test goes to such level of transparency.
Assuming that a candidate is pretty good at language competency, and have been reading intensively over the past 2 or 3 years, six months should be good enough to prepare you for the questions
