    Hi Rubina,
Agreeing to what Suryap and Arvind ji said I would like to add here that the best way to prepare for your GK is to read newspaper, listen to news, read various General Knowledge Magazines for logical reasoning, you can consult various books available in the market such as R.S. Aggarwal & Galgotias, apart from this you can consult NCERT books which will help you in strengthening your fundamentals.
Hope this resolves your query. Feel free to put up more queries In case your query is resolved please close this question by choosing it as a “best answer” or pressing the “thumbs up” icon.
    Thanks,
    Pooja

Apart from reading GK books and logical reasoning related books, it would be better to inculcate habit of reading of newspapers and magazines, watching current affair programs in News channels. GK books can not update latest happenings around the world. Keep in mind one mantra 'You must know something of everything and everything of something'.

For GK, study books for preparation of NDA / CDSE entrance exams. For logical reasoning, study books meant for MBA entrance tests. Moreover, for logical reasoning, study editorials of good national newspapers. They give you analytical reasoning. Also read critical comments on recent political events. This will also increase your GK awareness. Start reading Economic & Political Weekly.
