As per my opinion and my knowledge for doing Ph.D from New Delhi, you must have to give an IIT exam and have to qualify it, so that you can get enrolled yourself in Delhi University for Ph.D in Jamia University in New Delhi, but all these universities, you must have cleared the NET exam. For a professor, you must have to complete your Ph.D degree first, and then you are eligible for a professor in any university.

Completre your graduation and post graduation. Clear UGC NET or equivalent departmental tests of your institute to become eligible for PhD. You can begin your career as an Assistant Professor. Later on when you gain sufficient experience you can become a Professor as well.

    Hi Muskan
Whichever subject you had in 12th, you may choose to complete your graduation in it either hons or pass course. Hons like biology, chemistry, economics etc are more specialised. You can then pursue your post grad and take NET which is a national eligibility test to become an assistant professor first. There after p.hd will get you better position and remuneration as professor, dean, VC etc.
