how can i get a career in chemical which is software oriented? Learnin fortran n doin masters in simulation will help? are der more options?

I am a student of chemical engg. and want a career dat is more of software oriented. I want to know if der is any side of chemical engg which is software based and what all i should do to pursue it. Like various programming language, courses to be done.
