How can I get a Doctorate in Psychology? I am a B.com graduate
Hi,
I'm a 43 yr old B.Com grad in Bangalore.
I want 2 get a doctorate in psychology. Can I get a direct admsn to MA Psychology? Or do I hv 2 do a BA Psychology course first?
Am willing to go to cllge part-time / study through correspondence.
Pls guide me.

Vijay...Psychology is a science of human behaviour and mental processes. It is a major field of study in its own right which needs a thorough basic knowledge knowledge which is acquired in BA/BSc Psychology. Some schools even teach Psychology at plus two level. You cannot switch over to Psychology f

You have to turn the clock back around to do a Degree followed by Post graduation in psychology, but some universities seem to accept any degree for Post Graduation in psychology, especially for distance education.

To get into MA in Psychology you need to have a graduate degree in the same, and once you get a Bachelors degree you can go for Masters and then PhD. However, as you have a degree in b.com it seems difficult to get into psychology related programmes. Had you have Psychology in any form at
