How can I get a room with my friends in LPU hostel?

Roommates are not friends not family but they're more than that and do create a different category in our heart. I can feel the excitement in people who are looking forward to starting their hostel life in Lovely Professional University. Many of you might be very curious about the look and interior of the hostel. I stayed in LPU during my Post graduation years and honestly those were the best days of my life. I made some amazing friends and had some amazing experiences. Roommates for freshers are allotted randomly based on first come first serve basis. After completion of your first year rooms will be available for you to choose. But there are many students to take the rooms at same time. To reduce this LPU conducts two rounds to choose rooms. First round for all honours and CGPA above 8 students and second round for all other students. You can select room of your choice and take with your friends too. At the end of the first academic session, we are asked to participate in the hostel polling (for changing room) if anyone is interested. Many of the students come up for the hostel polling as they need to change their rooms for various different reasons. An announcement is made in the UMS about the dates of the polling. We can book our preferred hostel room and after the polling is completed we are allotted the assigned rooms. Some students were not interested for shifting but rules were made for everyone. The student from start got new companions, and he/she adjusted with them, he/she might also learn something from them. And every year he learn something new as the roommates get changed. He/she now knows how to adjust between different peoples. I think this answer will help you! Thank You.

According to my experience I can tell you that staying in hostel with initially random people is a whole different experience of college, initially they are just some random faces that we have seen it for the first time but which time they become our family, friend and whatsoever the bond is like. Freshman roommates are randomly assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. After finishing the first grade, you will be able to choose your room. But at the same time many students occupy the room. To reduce this her LPU, she performs her 2 turns to select a room. The first round is open to all of her Honors students ages 8 and up and her CGPA students, and the second round is open to all other students. You can choose your favorite room, and you can share it with your friends. At the end of your first academic session, you will be asked to go vote in your dormitory (locker room) in case anyone is interested.
