How can I get a scholarship in LPU? I belong to the economically weaker sections and the general category.

Dear Aspirant, LPU offers Financial Aid- Need-Based scholarship to the EWS (Economical Weaker Section). Your annual family income should be less than 5 Lacs to avail of scholarship under EWS. The objective of the Scheme: To provide financial assistance to students who need support for pursuing their higher education and to increase attainment and enhance their employability. Eligibility for Application: An applicant who belongs to any of the categories covered under the scheme I. e. Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and special categories that include Single Girl Child, Single Mother, Students from Minorities, Transgender, and Non-Traditional Student. (Refer to definitions for more details about the categories) Benefits under the scheme: The benefits of 30% scholarship on programme fee as financial aid will be awarded to selected applicants. Document required are mentioned below: Economically Weaker Section Certificate issued by the concerned authority in the state is a mandatory requirement. Income Certificate issued from a Concerned Authority (Tehsildar, District Magistrate, Collector, Revenue Circle Officer, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, or other relevant district authorities) in the State/UT Government is required in respect of the parent/ guardian of an applicant in all the categories or subcategories (computerized income Certificate issued by Sewa Kendra will be preferred). Note: An Income Declaration as per the university Perform will also be required irrespective of the category applied by the applicant (Annexure-VI: Income Declaration). Education Documents: Applicant is required to submit the mark sheet of 10th (Matriculate) compulsorily along with education result or mark sheet of eligibility qualification. Hi there, you can get a scholarship under the EWS category. Apart from that LPU offers other scholarships too. In a bid to owe the social responsibility towards the needy, and give a token to the meritorious, LPU offers a range of scholarships and financial aid. You do not have to apply for a scholarship every time you pay the fee. What you get at the time of admission, continues till the course is over. Marks based (for previous two qualifying Exams) Performance in other National Level Entrance test Performance in Sports, Performance in Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular, Social Services, Bravery Special Scholarship for Toppers of Education Board Financial Aid for Defense /CAPF and their dependents Financial Aid for Orphan Candidates Financial Aid for Persons with certain disabilities LPUNEST Study Grant Minorities Transgender Non Traditional student Need Based-Financial Aid EWS scholarship for those whose family income is less than 5 lacs Single girl child Single Mother Orphan. LPU offers a special scholarship of Full Tuition fee waiver to Indian resident orphan students whose both parents are dead. The university gives scholarships based on a first come first serve basis to 10 applicants. The candidate having a benchmark disability of more than 70% and/or Locomotor disability caused by spinal cord injury can avail the benefit of a full programme fee waiver. However, the LPU committee scrutinizes the case.
