Admission to the UPES School of Computer Science is based on merit and scores from entrance exams. The admission process is online.

The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) offers three admission pathways:

UPSEAT: Covers 80% of seats. Candidates must appear for the JEE Main exam and obtain a valid score. The UPESEAT exam is a two-hour computer-based exam conducted online.
