How can I get admission in a good college? I have scored 42 marks in JEE Mains and 91% in class 12th (Gujarat board) with 78% in PCM.

Your mentioned score in JEE Mains will not help you to get a college.
Now, you have two choices left.
Either take a drop to prepare for IIT-JEE or take admission in any private college with direct means (management quota/donation).
