How can I get admission in a good engineering college?

Is it necessary for me to score good marks in HSC to get admission in a reputed college for B.Tech? I don't want to get admission in IITs or NITs.

    Hello Amit,
    Getting good marks is definitely mandatory. Even though admission to colleges requires a minimum 50 percent in your board examinations, it troubles a lot during job placements, if you don't have a decent percentage (above 75+) in your class 10th, 12th and graduation.
    Admission to any college is linked via an entrance examination. It could be self-conducted (For autonomous colleges / deemed universities), state-level entrance examination (for various government and private colleges) and national level (IIT-JEE/AIEEE for IITs and NITs).     You can write various private and state engineering entrance exams like VITEEE, WBJEE or KCET to get admission in some best private or state engineering colleges.
